Student Health Insurance

Student Health Insurance is an affordable way to provide coverage for the college bound and is available to:

Any undergraduate student taking nine or more college credits
Any full-time graduate student (defined by the school), up to age 29
Students either living in Colorado or out-of-state students going to school in Colorado
Available to both domestic and international students

Buyers of college health insurance plans should be aware that in most instances they only cover an individual until graduation or shortly thereafter. With Assurant Health's Student plans, once you've been accepted the coverage is yours to keep even when you are no longer a student. The following is an overview of the plans available:

Plan deductibles range from $250 to $2,500
After the deductible the plan pays 80% of the next
$10,000 in covered expenses
The plan limits each illness or injury limited to $100,000
Life time maximum is $1,000,000
The plans include office visits, but do not cover
prescription drugs.
Referrals are NOT needed.

Premiums for these plans are competitively priced and vary by age (17 - 24 and 25 - 29) and range from approximately $50 to $160 per month. The premium can be paid either annually or semi-annually with a check or credit card and there is a one-time application fee of $20.
